WHAT IS CORK?
Cork is tree bark that is peeled from the tree without harming it. Cork oak forests are amazing, they cover millions of hectares of the Mediterranean and are full of rare wildlife and plants. But unfortunately, a lot of the forests are now being mismanaged and demolished, as their economic value has declined due to the wine industry turning away from cork, to screw tops. So we need to find new uses for cork to preserve these bio-diverse forests!
